PSILOMELANE through SCAPOLITE

PSILOMELANE, M-535. 

Dark gray metallic, impalpable, globular or 

botryoidal, some showing concentric
banding structures. 


PYRITE, M-540. Wisconsin. VMS primary sulfide.
Massive, fine grained.  (Buy for location, not typical pyrite)

PYRITE, M-540A. Mexico or Peru.
Metallic pure massive to coarse crystalline. Nearly pure with none,
or very little associated mineral or rock. 

PYRITE, M-540B. Peru. Masses
displaying some crystals. 


PYRITE, M-540C. Peru. Best crystal
groups. Bright. Crystals from 5 to 25 mm. Often larger. 

Even better of this size sometimes available.

Inquire for pricing of larger samples. 

 

PYRITE Cubes.  Spain.  From around 1 cm to 4 or 5cm cubed.  

Depends on size available.  We also have some cube in matrix specimens.  Inquire.

QUARTZ, M-545. A rkansas or B razil. Clear to
translucent, terminated single crystals. Imperfections such as chipping and
indentations, but all sides and faces present in the "B" grade.

"A" grade has very few chips and dings present on the crystal faces or edges

and are very clean and transparent. Good specimens.

QUARTZ (AGATE), M-545A. California
or Nevada. Various colors. Some with banding. 

QUARTZ (AMETHYST), M-545B/545-C. 
Uruguay or Brazil. Good purple crystals clustered rock, usually on sections

geode walls.  Light to dark purple crystals. 

Uruguay is the better quality, deeper purple and less chipping to crystals.


QUARTZ (CHERT), M-545D. 
Gray with some red or
brown streaks.


QUARTZ (FLINT), M-545E. England.
Dark gray to brownish masses. 

QUARTZ (JASPER), M-545F. 
California & Arizona. Red and mottled red-brown or
yellow. 

QUARTZ (MILKY), M-545G. 
California & Arizona. Milky white vitreous masses.

Typical vein quartz with ferruginous staining abundant cracks

and fractures.

QUARTZ (ROSE QUARTZ), M-545H.

 South Dakota or Brazil. Pink sub-transparent
to translucent vitreous masses.  


QUARTZ (SILICIFIED OR PETRIFIED WOOD)
M-545I. Various localities. Gray
to red or brown, usually showing wood
texture. 

QUARTZ ("PLASMA"), M-545J. 
Nevada. 'Plasma' is green chert.
Cryptocrystalline green masses.   Check.


QUARTZ-AGATE GEODE, M- 545K.
Brazil. Geode halves - cut and polished on cut edge, aprox. 1/2 to 1 inch across.

Larger geodes from Utah available.

 

QUARTZ (MASSIVE CLEAR), M-545L.   Vitreous masses with varying

degrees of translucence.  Expensive, check for availability.

REALGAR, M-550. Nevada.
Bright red masses usually on or with a
little rock and/or orpiment. 


RHODONITE, M-555. Peru or Colorado.
Pink, fine to medium grained, black Mn oxide streaked and stained
masses. Check for availability.

SCAPOLITE, M-560. White to light gray, showing
cleavage. (Check for availability)
