MARBLE through SCHIST


DOLOMITIC MARBLE, ME-35G. 
California. Fine to medium grained, gray to
nearly white.

PINK MARBLE, ME-35H. Georgia.
Medium grain, salmon color.  Some with gray streaking.

DOLOMITIC MARBLE, ME-35I. 
California. Sugary, fine grain, hard, pink to
brownish, reddish.

MARBLE, ME-35J. 
Utah. Sparkling white sugary grain with penetrating
red to brown iron oxide veinlets.

METACONGLOMERATE, ME-40. 
California. Foliated, white to green lenticular 3-
5 mm pebbles in dark, brownish matrix.
Surfaces parallel to the foliation show silvery
greenish phyllitic aspect.  

METAQUARTZITE, ME-45. 
White and pink color from different locations.  Inquire.

MYLONITE, ME-50. California. Gray,
fine grain groundmass. Angular to rounded
white feldspar to I cm and occasional
hornblende to 5 mm.  Check, some few pieces available.


PHYLLITE, ME-55. Nevada. Silvery 
gray.

SCHIST, ME-60. California. Silvery
gray, medium grain, abundant muscovite with
albite and quartz.

GREENSCHIST, ME-60A. California.
Green, medium grain. Chlorite, muscovite,
albite and quartz.  

GLAUCOPHANE SCHIST, ME-60B.

GARNETIFEROUS MICA SCHIST, ME-60C.
South Dakota. 1-2 mm euhedral red
garnets in gray, fine flake muscovite schist.
Staurolites up to 1 cm may be present.  

GLAUCOPHANE SCHIST, ME-60D. 
California. Check. 

GLAUCOPHANE SCHIST, ME-60F. out of stock 
California. New item added to stock as catalog
goes to web site. No thin section data at this
time. Appears to be mainly silvery-white
muscovite flakes with dark bluish, acicular fine
grain glaucophane. Some scattered 2 mm
garnets.  Class pack of 20 - $10.  

TOURMALINE-MUSCOVITE SCHIST, ME-60E.
South Dakota. 1-5 mm black
tourmaline prisms in muscovite and quartz
schist.
